Amor stood at the edge of his part of the arena, there were three other contestants that would be coming out to face him as well. This was a battle royal styled battle, and it was just another thing for him to put under his belt to win. Of course he had no clue who he was going to be facing, but he already had his Pokemon ready to go. The pokeball that contained Vilu, his Sceptile, was already in his hand, and he was waiting to toss it into the air, though he didn't want to reveal his hand so soon, he had something he wanted to try out in this battle in particular. In secret he had been training with Vilu to unlock a new ability, and this was going to be the perfect opportunity to test that out.

"I do hope some of these people are at least decently strong, because I don't want to be disappointed when we go all out." He mused to himself.

Melody had signed up for a battle royale with random participants and boy was she eager! She had never participated in a battle royale before, she had heard they were popular in Alola though so she wanted to see what they were all about! She walked in and people immediately recognized her as the tournament did wonders for her popularity and she appeased as many fans as she could until security started to get people to go back to the stands where they could watched. [break][break]

She stood there amongst the four trainers participating and waved to them all "Good luck everyone!" she shouts as the referee gestured for them to send out their pokemon. She kissed the pokeball and threw it into the air as it released her Hypno "Go metro!" she calls out as her Hypno let out a small energetic cheer and then immediately acted much slower like an old man hunched over with one hand placed behind his back. The other two trainers participating in the battle throw out an archeops and a poliwrath. [break][break]

With his three other opponents set to go, he let loose his Sceptile, it had it's training weights on that kept it from using it's new ability. Keeping it's speed at relatively normal levels. Across from him on the battlefield was a Hypno, Poliwrath, and an Archeops. The Poliwarth would be their first target as it would be the easiest to deal with, with their moveset. Though it was not lost on Amor that one of his opponents was a Gym Leader, and so far he had a pretty bad track record with battling them. Both Zac, and Douglas had defeated him, though his match with Doug had been pretty close in his opinion. The one with Zac had been over in a second, and so he wondered how he would fare against this particular one.

"Good luck everyone..." He stated simply, and then he turned to his Sceptile, he would have to hope that Melody would wear herself down during the ensuing battle, and that would give him the chance to take her down, and claim victory. "Vilu use Leech Seed on that Poliwrath!" And without warning the seed pods on his Sceptiles tail would glow, and shoot streaks of green light towards the Poliwrath which was then tangled up in the vines of Leech Seed. Now it's stamina would be constantly sapped in order to fuel Vilu's vitality. They had made the first move, and now he would wait to see how the others reacted to it.

The Poliwrath reacted predictably, and attempted to close the gap using an Ice Punch to try, and hit Vilu, but it was easily dodged, and the moment it missed red streaks of light danced across the water types skin as the Leech Seed absorbed it's vitality, and transferred it to Vilu.

The battle was underway! Good! Melody saw that the man across from her wasted no time making his move and so melody would as well with a little bit of trickery and pressure. "Hypno! gas em!" as Hypno holds both of his hands together and released a purple fog slowly from between it's hands and began to fill the arena as melody hoped to poison her opponents and make it a battle of attrition. [break][break]

The purple fog would slowly begin to poison both archeops and poliwrath and make it's way over sceptile as melody wondered how a much more agile pokemon would react to the slow moving gas making it's way to his side of the field.

Amor watched as the Gym Leader made her move, and spread out a Poison Gas across the entire field, and he just made a small 'tch' sound in his throat. They would have to do better to catch Vilu off guard like that, the moment the gas began to spread Vilu was already using Detect finding the pockets of it where he could fight unabated. The blades on his arms extending as he rushed the Poliwrath, who was not as fortunate as he was, and slammed into it hard with his blades, and then his Leech Seed activated draining more of his life away, when he went to retaliate, Vilu was able to dodge easily thanks to having his detect activated, but the light in his eyes faded as he kept his distance from all three opponents at the moment.

"This is going to be an interesting battle..." Was all Amor stated as he watched the two other Pokemon began to wither due to the poison, the Poliwrath in particular was having a bad time. With Poison, Leech Seed, and having taken a Leaf Blade attack it was going to have a hard time. Though it growled in defiance, and shot a Mudshot at the Hypno, it's trainer viewing the one who could inflict a status condition as problematic.

Battle Breakdown: Sceptile used Detect to avoid Poison Gas
Sceptile used Leaf Blade on Poliwrath
Poliwrath was poisoned, and used Mudshot on Hypno
Archeops is Poisoned!

(If you wanna control the Archeops trainer go for it! Cuz I'm okay with just using Poliwrath.)

The mud shot hit Hypno right in the face and it was NOT pleased as it liked to stay immaculately clean at all times. So in return the poliwrath got a Psyshock right to the face as small little psychic bullets of air were launched at the poliwrath. [break][break]
The pokemon took a lot of damage from the move. She wanted to go for the sceptile that had managed to avoid the poison gas but at the moment there was a more immediate threat she had to handle so she decided against it, besides Sceptile was about to be distracted with someone else![break][break]

An archeops pathetically flapped around as it was making it's move towards sceptile as it tries to use the move pluck on sceptile to try and deal some super effective damage.

Vilu was taken off guard by that Pluck attack, and it hurt alot, but thankfully it was mitigated somewhat due to the Leech Seed that was currently had enraptured the Poliwrath. As his life drained away it refreshed Vilu, though now the Archeops was here, it would have to deal with a powerful Leaf Storm attack. A swirling twister of leaves exploded outward, and engulfed the little flying Pokemon sending it skyward, and crashing down to the earth heavily damaged, and the poison eating away at it. Vilu stood there watching as it's old fighting partner was getting attacked by Hypno, and taking heavy damage.

Poliwrath glared as the attack came at it, but it wasn't going to go down without swinging as hard as it could first. Poisoned, Leech Seeded, and now a super effective attack. It wasn't going to go down without a fight, though this would probably be it's last one. And if he was going to go out, it was going to be on his own terms. So with that knowledge his trainer gave the order, and he began to charge at the Hypno, green energy covering his body as he aimed a harsh Double Edge At the Hypno. He knew that the recoil would knock him out, but all that mattered was that he dealt a hefty blow to this Pokemon.

Melody watched very eagerly as the battle progressed and utter chaos continued to unfold, it was beautiful in her eyes to see how such distinct and different battles would continue to occur one next to another yet would interfere with one another entirelly as they all fought within a poison gas that began to dissipate. Since they all had a clear view of the starlet melody had to go on with part 2 of her show "Dazzling gleam! Hit em all!" she called out as Hypno spun it's little pendulum around as it began to glow with a light glow and release a shower of light from it hitting all the other opponents in the arena. [break][break]

However despite the dazzling gleam connecting with and blinding the poliwrath specifically, it managed to power through enough to still make contact with Hypno since the Pokémon had stayed in place and Melody muttered under her breath that she should have been more careful, she was going to need to restore her health soon, and luckily, someone was not poisoned and could be put to sleep for Hypno's benefit..

The dazzling gleam came out of nowhere, but Vilu wouldn't give them an inch, and neither would Amor.

"Detect Vilu!" He commanded his Grass Pokemon, and with an inhuman accuracy the Sceptile managed to dodge each of the gleams of light detecting where they would hit before hand, and simply avoiding them. The Archeops, and Poliwratch however were not so lucky, and with that attack they were both knocked out. Now it was no longer a free for all battle of four people, and it was down to a one on one. Vilu had lost his Leech Seed host, but that didn't matter to him, the Hypno had taken some damage, and while he had been hit by Pluck, he was still fine to go. Crossing his arms he looked over at the Hypno, and her trainer, they weren't going to be a problem for him.

"Well now...Seems like it's just us now..." Amor observed simply, and waited to see what kind of move his opponents would make next.

"You've dodged each of my attacks that were widespread...I could think of no better opponent for a final duet! Engarde!" she complimented him, his sceptile was rather amazing so far and Melody was painted QUITE impressed with his capabilities he's shown so far. [break][break]

But she had spent forever witht his hypno, it was one of her favorite pokemon asit often brought her comfort, tempering her mind in times of unease. If only she really knew the full extent of that Hypno's power. [Break][break]

"Hypno! Use Psychic!" she called out as Hypno picked out some of the rocks and rubble that was created from the battle and begun to throw them at sceptile.

When she admitted that she was impressed with Vilu, Amor couldn't help but feel a beam of pride. Vilu was one of his most trusted partners, and was almost on the same level as Draco as far as the two of them being in sync. It was a compliment he would take to heart, but there would be no time for rest here, as the Hypno began to use chunks of the arena to attack him. While he was agile enough to potentially dodge them, it had come so suddenly that the first chunk of rubble smashed into him.

"Vilu use Leaf Storm!" He ordered his Pokemon whose tail began to light up with green energy, and then it fired a swirling tornado of leaves towards the Hypno in an attempt to deal some modicum of damage to it.

"I appreciate the compliment..." Amor stated to her, and he almost thought about going all out. Using his new found power with Vilu in order to give them an edge, but he decided against it. Vilu still had his weights on as well so he wasn't even moving as fast as he could be. Amor was doing his best to keep the true potential of his Sceptile under wraps because the moment he let loose it was going to be nothing but problems for the two of them. Of that he was sure.

Melody finally spotted the weights on Sceptile, he wasn't fully fighting all out? Melody wondered if she should even say anything to him about it or just battle as normal. [break][break]
She spent too long and her indecision cost her as the leaf storm collided against hypno's body and caused some damage making him slide back a few feet. "Hypno! Hypnosis!" she called out as Hypno's eyes flashed a couple of times to try and lull the green lizzard to sleep in order for melody to pick an advantage.

It didn't matter what they did because the Hypnosis caught Vilu, and before he could even react he was put soundly to sleep, and with a groan Amor watched as his Sceptile stood still, unmoving. Despite the fact that they might be able to fight back, it wasn't going to do him any good until Vilu woke up.

Yes! This guy was such a slippery target! "Now nightmare!" she called out as Hypno swung it's pendulum side to side and created the most devious of nightmares for the secptile and caused psychic damage.
